The amount that we donate depends upon where you shopped when you made your purchases. Usually our donation amount is a percentage of your total purchase price before taxes, gift wrapping and shipping charges. Sometimes it's a flat fee. Even if your purchases result in just five dollars being donated to your favorite Animal Welfare Group (but it could be much higher!), that's five more dollars than the organization had before. Five dollars can feed an animal for a week or be a good start toward paying for a vaccination. But even more importantly, if the purchases of 100 shoppers leads to donations of "just" five dollars per shopper, that's $500. That's no small potatoes to the organizations on our list. Let's get more optimistic: If the purchases of 1000 shoppers leads to donations of "just" five dollars per shopper, that's $5,000. Wow! And it "just" keeps going from there...

Here's what one major city's Humane Society can do with the donations it receives:

$25 will feed four hungry kittens for a week.
$50 will provide a lot of flea prevention so there's no itching.
$75 will make possible one spay/neuter surgery to prevent more homeless animals.
$100 will make sure four puppies are vaccinated so they can have a healthy future.
$250 will prove feline leukemia and AIDS testing for 30 adoptable cats to ensure a disease-free future.
$1000 will make sure all Humane Society dogs and cats eat well for one month.
